It invites users to connect one or more wallets (up to five addresses, including ENS names) to value holdings, and frames the result as a comparison of what the user 'let go' of. It claims to be read-only, but its text includes transaction-signing and wallet-acceptance prompts that it does not explain.

Full analysis

Security Alert

Fortinet, Kaspersky flagged this site in external intelligence checks, indicating elevated compromise/scam exposure that requires immediate caution.

Ghost Wallet is a single-page crypto web tool. It invites visitors to connect up to five wallet addresses, including ENS names such as the sample "vitalik.eth", and then values the holdings. It frames the result as a gamified comparison with a "ghost" version of the user who never sold, spent or sent anything. Separate "Summon" entry points cover XRP, TRON and Solana wallets. The page presents itself as a free, read-only novelty utility. It states no fee, token or subscription, so how the operator makes money is unclear.

Scam/Impersonation Risk

Threat-intelligence sources currently flag the domain as malicious, and this is a confirmed blacklist condition. It is the decisive factor in the assessment. No brand impersonation and no conflicting legal identities were observed. The risk therefore comes from the external detections and from how the site behaves, not from copying a known brand. The homepage promotes "zero-friction onboarding with no transactional overhead" and describes itself as read-only. Its own text nevertheless includes "Transaction signed" and "Signature Confirmed" messages and prompts to accept a connection request in the wallet. A genuinely read-only valuation tool needs only a public address and has no reason to request a wallet connection or a signature. This contradiction between claim and evidence is a recognised pattern in wallet-draining lures. The connector menu is broad: MetaMask, Trust Wallet, TronLink, WalletConnect, Ledger, Binance Web3, OKX, Bybit, Bitget and several others. That breadth widens the pool of victims. During sandbox browsing, the page generated heavy third-party network traffic. This included a number of outbound POST requests to destinations that are not recognised as benign, along with repeated client-side console errors. The domain was registered only days before analysis, which adds to the concern.

Evidence
  • Homepage: states "Read only" and "no transactional overhead" while also displaying signing and signature-confirmation text and a "Accept connection request in the wallet" prompt.
  • Homepage: lists 15 wallet connectors and offers address aggregation for up to five addresses, with XRP, TRON, Solana and ENS entry points.
  • Behavioral sandbox: 18 external XHR requests and 15 external POSTs observed, 6 of each to non-whitelisted destinations; 24 console errors across 3 runs.
  • Domain provenance: registered 2026-10-05 (~0.04 years old); 2 archive snapshots spanning 2026-10-05 to 2026-10-06 (1 year tracked).

Regulatory Verification Notes

The site publishes no legal, terms, privacy or about pages. It names no operating company and claims no licence or registration. Ownership and governance are opaque. This is a disclosure limitation and is distinct from an identity contradiction, because no conflicting entity names appear. The site makes no financial-services claim, so a missing licence is not significant in itself. For a service that asks visitors to link wallets, the lack of any accountable operator is nonetheless material, and it adds to the external detections without replacing them. No broker-reputation record matched this domain, so there is no third-party regulatory signal in either direction. The site's real-world operator identity remains unverified.

Evidence
  • Homepage: no company name, legal terms, privacy policy, contact page or licence reference.
  • Registration: domain registered through NICENIC INTERNATIONAL GROUP CO., LIMITED, with registrant details incomplete; expiry 2027-10-05.
  • Transport security: DV-level TLS certificate issued by YE1, valid to 2027-01-03 (74 days remaining). This confirms encryption only and says nothing about the operator.

What to Verify Next

Treat the site as unsafe for any wallet interaction until the threat listings are cleared. Re-check the domain against several independent reputation services and confirm that the detections have been withdrawn. Anyone who has already connected a wallet or approved a prompt on this domain should review recent signatures and token approvals using a reputable approval-checker for the relevant chain, and revoke any that are unfamiliar. If a project claims to operate the tool, its identity should be confirmed through an independent route, such as an established official channel that does not link back to this domain. Any official support or contact channels should also be confirmed independently.

Evidence
  • Homepage: wallet-connect and signing prompts are the actions that most need independent review.
  • Sandbox browsing: no wallet-drainer behaviour was triggered in the automated runs. This does not rule out risk for real wallets, because the connection flow itself was not fully exercised.
  • Domain history: only two archive captures exist, so there is no track record to reassure a prospective user.

Summary Verdict

The evidence points to a high-risk posture with a critical trust outcome. Confirmed external detections combine with a claim-versus-behaviour contradiction on a very new, unaccountable domain. Technical hygiene such as valid encryption does not offset these findings. The operator's identity and intent are unverified, and the site should be regarded as a potential wallet-compromise vector.

Infrastructure Integrity

The domain resolves entirely to Cloudflare edge addresses under AS13335, which is a mainstream CDN and WAF provider in the US. The real origin server could not be observed. This conceals where the content is actually served from, and it also lets content be swapped quickly without any visible change in hosting. The protection is a mitigating factor only. Cloudflare's reputable network reflects the hosting choice and does not vouch for the content. It cannot offset the external threat detections.

Closing Assessment

Do not connect any wallet, sign any message, or approve any request on this domain, and do not enter credentials or make financial commitments there. Anyone who has interacted with it should move assets to a fresh wallet if any approvals look unfamiliar. Any interaction beyond viewing the page is inadvisable until independent sources clear the domain.

About this assessment

A trust score summarises the evidence TrustSniffer could collect about ghost-wallet.xyz at assessment time. It is a starting point for your own judgement, not a guarantee: a high score means the signals were consistent with a legitimately operated site, a low or critical score means several risk patterns were present.

TrustSniffer assesses a website from the evidence it can collect at a point in time: domain registration and age, hosting and certificate, the content the site served, and third-party reputation feeds. A score is a summary of that evidence, not a guarantee and not a legal finding. There is no human rating and no user review in it. A site can change after it is assessed.

Already paid or signed in? Do this now

Act fast. The sooner your bank knows, the better the chance of stopping the payment.

  1. Call your bank or card company now. Use the number on the back of your card. Ask them to stop or reverse the payment.
  2. Paid with crypto? Contact the exchange or wallet app you sent it from today. Give them the address you paid.
  3. Signed in or shared a password? Change it now, on every site where you use it, and turn on two-step sign-in.
  4. Report it to the police. In the US you can also report at reportfraud.ftc.gov and ic3.gov. In other countries, use your national police or fraud reporting service.
  5. Keep the evidence. Save screenshots, receipts, emails and chat messages. Your bank and the police will ask for them.
  6. Ignore anyone who offers to get your money back for a fee. These "recovery" offers are often a second scam.

Looking for the real site? Type the company name into a search engine yourself, or use the web address printed on your card, bill or letter. Do not use links from messages or ads.
